I changed this block a bit, the basket is different, I added circles to the 3 leaves on each side and well here is my ooppss! I forgot to applique the vine down from the leaves on before I did the two flowers so my stems/vines do not go down to the basket...so REMEMBER that when you go do make this block! I am ok with my mistake and decided its ok to give myself a little freedom the pattern!
It is so exciting to see the 4 blocks together....now to decide which block to do next!
Did you needle turn the applique already?? If so you are pretty fast ! I am really slow at applique but then I am new at it too.... You did a great job and really love the fabric you have used for the basket !!
ReplyDeleteThat basket fab is SO perfect. I am jealous. ;0 Great four blocks.
ReplyDeleteWell I would have never noticed you oops and your additional circles look wonderful. Very pretty blocks Kathie :0)

How fun to be able to see how the blocks are beginning to look together (really nice!) The basket is wonderful. I really like how the side/handles look in that fabric too. I don't see any oops's--weren't you just expressing your artistic freedom?
ReplyDeleteI love all your blocks Kathie!!! The Dargate fabric for the basket is perfect!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't see any ooppss either!
Kathie your fabric choices are gorgeous, these blocks are looking fabulous. You are so fast. I love having an oops or two in my quilts, they give character don't you think? That basket fabric is perfect. I'm loving seeing your blocks grow.
ReplyDeleteWONDERFUL, Kathie!!! Your blocks look stunning together. ; ) No oops, only creative license being exercised. Way to SEW!!!

Your blocks look wonderful together. I don't think anyone would know you made changes unless they looked at the pattern? They fit in flawlessly! :)
ReplyDeleteYour incredible progress will keep us all working faster. It's such a treat to see so much of the quilt finished already! And you make me feel better about the oops or two I have just in my first block. As the others say, it's just creative license, right?
ReplyDeleteGreat blocks Kathie! Love the basket and the circles - they look just so. You're really fast considering you are doing other quilts as well.
ReplyDeleteWhich one are you doing next?
Its wonderful that you're doing your own thing with the blocks, it makes it your quilt then! Cheers, Kim McL
