I've made a start!!

I've been reading this blog for a while and decided I should join in. I have made a start on the Roseville Album quilt. Like others I took some time to decide on a background fabric but in the end went for a dark colour as I am also doing Kim McLean's Flower Basket medallion and it is on a white background. This is my first block laid out ready to stitch. As this is my first "Blog" attempt I'm hoping everything works!! Thanks for all the inspiration.

  11. Thanks for the compliments. The blue background (which is actually more dark turquoise in real life)and the orange stems are both shot cottons from Reece Scannell. They are a bit more "silk" like than the Kaffe ones I think.

  12. Yes, I bought those Reece Scannell fabrics from Material Obsessions, colours are great. Haven't done anything to it yet. I was going to do some quilts for my daughter's new apartment but haven't got on to it yet. Madam doesn't like florals!! Kim McL
