An Oldie but a Goodie

Here is a picture of version of "The Sarah Evans Quilt" I did in a class with Kim McLean a few years ago.  I enjoyed putting the top together and learned a lot from Kim in the process.
As you can see, only a small part of the quilting has been done.  It will definitely be finished one day.

  1. Mmmm-Mmmm. The colours are quite delicious! I particularly like the long-legged birds.

  4. Looks great Liz!!The reproduction fabrics look fab here. Are you hand quilting it? A big job ahead. I've still got the mariner's compass quilt still not finished being hand quilted, it is sitting in a corner of my sewing room in an Ikea bag. At least I think it is still there..

I'm hoping someone will do this quilt in the Kaffe fabrics one day! Cheers, Kim McL

  6. Really lovely, and looks like it was fun to put together with all the wonderful fabrics. Here's another nudge to keep on with the quilting--it's one that definitely deserves to be finished!

  10. I hadn't seen this quilt design until recently. It looks like it would be delightful to do because those small blocks would travel well and before long it would be almost done! Is there a pattern available?

  11. The pattern of this quilt is available from the book called Fabric of Society by Annette Gero. I did the drafting for the 29 quilts from the book. It is also available as a single pattern from the Woodridge House in Western Australia, I'll look up the address when I get back home. Or perhaps Google it? Cheers, Kim McLean
