Ann's block 4

I've finally gotten block 4 done. I kept changing my mind on the fabric choices.
The red house will be sitting just above this block, so I chose my fabrics with that in mind. There will also be fairly large trees of purple and blue on either side of the house. I was trying to be careful to not have too much of any of those colors in this block, just touches of them so that I will have a good spread of color around the quilt.

I decided to add a piece of fabric behind the shape in the upper left corner. Another opportunity to add a bit more color. :)

  3. Your blocks are just beautiful. Balancing the color is such a challenge working on this big quilt unless, like Kim, you cut out everything before you take the first stitch! You seem to be making such good decisions, and you seem to have visualized the surrounding blocks well.
