I was wondering if there is a way to bring up all the posts from just a single participant to see their block progress. When I see a new post, I would love to be able to see their posts altogether. Does that interest anyone else? Would each post have to be labeled with their name to be able to do that? Can you retro-label posts?
I also have been thinking the same thing. But at least you're asking. Didn't think of that.
ReplyDeleteIt surely woud be great I think. Do we have computerwizzes on board?
yes you can .. and it's not hard .. just as you say "label each post with their name" and yes you can also add, delete and change labels post post.
ReplyDeletep.s. ... I would also find it quite handy of the list of contributors was alphabetical ... i end up doing a lot of up and down hunting when checking to see if you have your own blogs.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking it also might be nice if we could look at a certain block and see how everyone else did it--but we all would have to number or name them the same thing. I find it interesting to compare how different fabrics/backgrounds really change how a block looks. Is anyone else interested in that?
ReplyDeleteOooo....GREAT idea, Donna! That would be super. I have now ordered the Stars and Sprigs pattern and wondering what to use for background fabric or if I want to use different things and seeing what different things people have used for the same blocks would really give me ideas for what to use. But I would assume that the post labels can only be done by the poster, right Jovita? So each person would have to go back and add that label to their own posts? Seems like there must be a simpler way. Is that something you can help us with, Pam?
ReplyDeleteI agree..it would be nice to look at a group of one poster's entries.
ReplyDeleteThere's a Flickr group that SewPam set up for lovers of Kim's patterns. If everyone would post their pics on that site it would be real easy to see the different versions of each block..and the name of the maker would be right there under the pic. That might be a good way to see the blocks together?
For anybody that doesn't have a Flickr account..they're easy to set up and they're free. The link is on the right hand side of this blog.
I just did a little test...in the search box on the right hand side of this page I typed in a name and it brought up all of the posts by that person. Once the list comes up you can click on each entry to see the post. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat thoughts, suggestions, and ideas, ladies! I REALLY appreciate them and will take them under advisement. I must admit, my current life circumstances are quite hectic and I can't manage any blog changes just now. Can you be patient with me...
ReplyDeleteBe good to yourself ... we'll survive!

ReplyDeleteSuper idea Donna!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the intel Ann. Tried it out and it worked. There is a great deal of clicking that needs to be done though. Anyway of eliminating that or is that asking too much?
