LEFT SIDE PANEL

Another step closer to my deadline as I finished my left side panel tonight. I was able to get this panel finished so quickly this week because I fell on the ice last Wednesday and sprang my ankle, and required to miss work for 3 days (sad face) and had to keep my foot elevated, so I got lots of sewing done (happy face). I was so thankful that I cut out everything for this panel the Saturday before. I audition every fabric to get the squirrel's tail to look just right. Have lots of fussy cutting for the animals and birds.
Started working on one of the big trees on bottom panel tonight.

  2. Sorry to hear about your ankle (speaking from experience, that part isn't fun), but how lucky you had a project ready to go! (I am sure the stitching therapy you were able to do will make the ankle heal much faster!) Your panel is lovely--great squirrels and fussy birds!

  3. It looks fantastic Julee, I love the fussy cutting. The fan fabric for the bird tail looks great just to mention one part. I clicked on the photo twice to get a good look and it has so much to see on it.

  8. Please tell me you didn't do this whole panel in a week! It's really a delight. It will take me a week just to make templates and choose fabrics! Good luck healing up that ankle, but maybe you're not in too big a hurry?

  9. I'm sorry to hear you've had a fall, but it looks like you put the resting time to good use?

  10. Thanks for all the wonderful comments and get well wishes. I'm still limping and back to work so I won't get as much done. Yes, I did this in a week, remember from earlier postings that I had over 100 circles made and had my entire panel cut out and pinned on the paper pattern, so this made everything at my reach and ready...so ladies take the time and cut out as much as you can at a time, as you can see the advantage of this.
    Thanks again, Julee
