Feeling the Love
I made some time for stitching today, and this what I found in my hands and under my presser foot! It's hard to tell in the photo, but the background is a soft lime green color. I have NOT enlarged the pattern from the Quilt Romance book. So, those large circles are about the size of a quarter. This is completely machine appliqued using a blanket stitch. Being that it is little faster it does give me a more immediate gratification. : )
this is beautiful, I really love hearts. bless your heart.
ReplyDeleteLots of love,
-Samya :-)
looks great. I like the lime bg color.
ReplyDeleteJust love it...so happy...and I'm happy to see the blanket stitch....
ReplyDeleteI continue to be in awe of your amazing talent!
ReplyDeleteI love your Hearts & Love Quilt, Pam!!!It motivates me to piece mine further (a little bit abonned this winter and replaced by wool and needles;)
ReplyDeleteCould there be a better quilt for Valentine's Day? Excellent timing, Pam. I love the spring colors, especially after getting yet another 5" of snow overnight. Help yourself to chocolate bon bons while you quilt. What size does the quilt end up?
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this quilt, Pam. The colors make it all your own. Brilliant. Keep going!
ReplyDeletePam, This is a Godwink! My mom has made it a goal to start in the near future and has the pattern copied. I will be excited to show her your beauty!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWell, gosh and golly. Thanks all for your kind words and nice comments. I truly appreciate them! : )
ReplyDeleteI do not know what size this quilt will end up, Marion?! I am kind of winging it. I had to shrink the patterns for the leaf and heart applique borders, and haven't actually started sewing of said borders just yet. I have been cutting out the applique shapes though!
I add that narrow blue border, and may or may not add a narrow border between the other applique borders as well...?! So, it's anyone's guess as to the size.
I am having FUN!!! I LOVE ALL of Kim's designs and have such happiness working with these fabrics, colors, fussy cuts and selections. It's a joyful riot, albeit a bit of a mess too...shhh, don't tell! ; )
Your quilt is absolutely stunning Pam! I love your fussy cuts, and the colors are so pretty. :)
ReplyDeleteit is spectacular! I was JUST thinking I need to put mine on the wall and draft the next row as mine has to be smaller... and up pops your yummy quilt!
ReplyDeleteOooh and aah, it looks sensational on lime, love it to bits.
ReplyDeleteThe background color is amazing, it is so nice to have this place to share different ideas. Colors are just brilliant.
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT Pam! Your background choice is really great. Love the fussy cutting too. Your fabrics for the pieces just look gorgeous! Kim McL
