The second block

Here is the second middle block from Flower Pots.  I am not thrilled with the fabric choices in this block but as the quilt progresses it should look better.  I really hate unstitching and replacing fabric and in following the blog I have discovered that it is best to just leave things alone to see the overall picture.  I still like the colors but find that working with these fabrics is more tricky than I expected - but so much fun!

  2. Heather, when I started my Roseville Kaffe fabrics were new to me also.
As I got into it and my stash of Kaffe fabrics increased I began to think if it was not what I would normally use I used it.vbg In the end I really like my Roseville and ordered even more fabrics, which I am waiting for and going to start Flower Garden blocks.
Your block looks great and look forward to your progress photos.

  4. Both your blocks are gorgeous Heather, I do love the fabrics here, don't unstitch yet, wait till the other panels are done and evaluate then. Those Kaffe fabrics are really fun aren't they! I look at them as a source for bird's wings, tails and all sorts of things. It's amazing what you can find when you look at the fabrics carefully. Have you looked at the scallop shell fabric? It's amazing. Kim McL
