First sprigs

I finished my first Sprigs block this weekend! This is such a fun quilt to make. Each little applique is like it's own little project. There is so much variety that one block just flows into another. I also completed six of the stars but I can see I need to stop using blue and pink.

  8. Lovely blocks Taryn! You’ve inspired me to make a Stars and Sprigs quilt. But first I need to finish my Lollypop quilt!

  10. I love your blocks. I am enjoying making mine; and mostly I am enjoying seeing all the other Star and Sprigs here. The stars are great, and your applique very nice.

  11. I love your blocks! It's a treat to see the pattern done in sort of fabrics that might have been used in the original quilt that inspired this pattern.

  14. oooooh....this is beautiful and proves that a good pattern will work with any fabric and be stunning. Sometimes the pattern makes the quilt. Sometimes it's the fabric. I think Kim has the ability to design patterns that let both be the stars!

  18. Thanks to everyone for your nice words and encouragement on the Stars and Sprigs quilt. I am going to set myself an ambitious deadline to finish it by April next year. I am making the appointment with the machine quilter for then so I can get it back in time for my guild show.
