I have not posted here for a long time. But I am still working on my blocks. I did prepare several of them and I am now doing the applique. These are the last 8 ones I've finished. Some of them were made using my battery operated head light during our last blackout due to hurricane Irene.
Lovely fabrics! Great work since you were having to use a head lamp part of the time. I'm so happy to see someone else also working on the Sprigs and Stars pattern. Are you going to make it the whole size? And are you working on the pieced star blocks at the same time?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I want to make this but with only one Lollypop Tree made, I need to put the brakes on.

the blocks all look terrific, love your fussy cutting
ReplyDeleteyour fabric choices are wonderful, love the colors, can't wait to see your quilt come together.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are able to post again...your blocks look great, keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all your positive feedback. It is so nice to read them. I am making the whole quilt. You make each sprig twice for this quilt; and I have less than 10 to go. I've also made half of the stars. I have 1 and 3/4 of the second borders completed. I will put everything on my wall now, and decide what colors I need to make the last stars and sprigs. Just to be sure that it will be balanced. This is a great quilt to make.
ReplyDeleteYou're doing a wonderful job on your blocks. They're beautiful!
ReplyDeleteStitching away with a head lamp is sheer determination! LOL
I look forward to seing those fabulous borders. :)
Beautiful blocks! love to see more soon, Kim McL
ReplyDeleteYour blocks look great! I entertained the idea of stitching with a head lamp if we lost power but thought I might be inviting a bit of teasing from my husband. I will not be daunted in the future. You should post a self portrait of you with your light.
ReplyDeleteWow. Very neat applique. You can use that nifty headlamp in bed too!
ReplyDeleteI also love the fabrics you use, they are so colourful...! These spring blocks are so beautiful...
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! They look great together!
