my next 2 blocks!!
Here is my 6th and 7th block. I get so inspired from all of your photos. I love finding fabrics for all the figures!!
Happy Holiday to everybody!!

Thank you to all of you. I need to make the quilt bigger than it is in the kit. I was thinking about something like the border i "flower pots", any other suggestions??
the circles sounds good, what about doing another of the vine border & pointing the opposite direction, separate the two with a sashing? or this this just a lot of work? Kim McL
Hi Kim. I was actually thinking of the squares of fabric as an outer border, do you think it will work ??? I am really honored, that you take your time to comment on my quilt!! I have to tell you, that everyone I show your pattern to, thinks it is fantastic. Anne, Copenhagen
Hi, Kim. That was a super idea. I might do a row of squares on both sides of the vine border. I will try with 2" squares first. Cannot wait to see your new quilt. Thank you for your help. Anne, Copenhagen
Beautiful flowers and blocks! Love the way you use colors!
ReplyDeleteLovely Anne! Your blocks have lots of gorgeous fabrics, keep up the good work, love to see more, Kim McL

Yes, the fabric squares would work, how much bigger would the quilt be? Try it with say 10 squares when the last border is done. Do you know that the last border has an 8" repeat? Also, the squares might work before you do the last vine border, just keep in mind the 8" repeat.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are enjoying the quilt. I've got another one coming up in the new year, it's being quilted at the moment and then doing the photograph before it is sent to Liza at GloriousColors for publication. This one is a mixed appliqué and pieced blocks, I've had grea fun making it. Kim McL
