Thought I would take a minute and post my progress on my Flower Garden quilt. Love this quilt!!
The stitching on all the blocks is complete but they still need to be trimmed up and I haven’t started on the sashing squares yet so that is still left to do.
I have both of the side borders completed and the bottom border is ready to stitch except for all the small circles over the center vase. I have also decided to change the center vase fabric because this one seems to fade in with the background a little too much. I think it needs to pop more.
This has really been a fun quilt and I never seem to tire of looking at all the beautiful Kaffe fabrics.
Glad you're having so much fun, your work is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYou are smart.... as the vase does not have the pop that the rest of the border has.... keep at it... you are nearing the end.
ReplyDeleteI am constantly amazed at the beauty of your applique. I have never done much applique because it looked to be tedious & detailed handwork, but your fantastic results make it look worth every bit of effort. You have inspired me to spend this weekend looking at tutorials and attempting a simple wall hanging or pillow. Your completed works are true works of art. The Flower Garden quilt is almost done and I look forward to seeing the completed quilt.
ReplyDeleteThank you Ellen, Applique is really relaxing once you get the hang of it. Pick a simple pattern and fabrics you love and give it a try.
