In the Starting Block

Do you remember, I was waiting for the Piece O'Cake DVD I ordered in order to learn properly hand appliqué method? For your information, the DVD never arrived... Has been cancelled after 3 weeks of mega huge patience!!!

After all this waiting period...
I coulnd't just wait one single more minute (!!!) I decided to try the front basting method (thank you Liza) and...

I ♥ it!!!

  4. Gorgeous palette. Some "vintage" Kaffe fabric in that block. You must have a glorious stash.

  6. @Janet, I ordered the DVD via amazon.fr (because of technical aspects I cannot order it directly in US) and after having sent me 2 mails of postpoment, they finaly sent me a 3 one but transformed my DVD into a book!!??? A book of Piece O'Cake but stil they changed my order...
I was so angry that I cancelled my order.

  7. I Think they have the cd at the cotton patch in Birmingham. Shouldn't take more than 3-4 days to get it.

  9. I'm so glad you're having so much fun with your blocks, it is really hard to wait to get started. Leaving on vacation and I won't be able to start on my lollipops until Friday. Keep on stitching and posting your work.

  10. I'm so sorry you've had so much trouble getting your CD. It doesn't seem like it should be hard to ship something so small? I hope you're able to find one. The book isn't the same as seeing the applique actually being done.
Your block looks lovely though. Maybe you don't need the CD?
Have you tried searching on Youtube for free videos that you can watch? :)
