Lollipop block number four
I cannot believe how much fun I am having with every block, it is like every block is a different adventure. The colors of the fabric just sing to me, every time I pick up a piece of Kaffe fabric, it just makes me feel happy.
When I went to clip the threads on this block, I accidentally cut a slit in the fabric, it was right under the flowers. At first I kind of panicked but then I thought, no problem just add a couple more lollypop circles.
I love checking the blog everyday, it is so much fun to see everyone's work. You all definitely inspire me. Thank you so much for sharing.

Great thinking, Rosemary, for that slit! I love that your blocks have a common green fabric in the leaves, joining them together and showing off the different colored flowers. Your finished quilt is going to be so beautiful.
ReplyDeletePretty block--I love that red fabric in your top petals! Everytime I cut a thread I worry about doing the same thing--will have to keep the extra circles in mind1
ReplyDeleteI like the consistent green leaf fabric as well and I love all your happy energetic colors. And congrats for the quick fix--little circles sure come in handy!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, YOU ARE SO TALENTED! I love your header and am so excited to delve more into your blog! My mom is an amazing appliquer and I look forward to sharing your blog with her!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is sooooo beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI grabbed the button pronto , I want to come back and see more--cottonreel
ReplyDeleteAnother VERY pretty block Rosemary! I don't have this pattern, so if you hadn't told on yourself about the little accident I wouldn't have known. Adding more circles was a great save..and looks original to the pattern. Well done! :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your beautiful blocks, Rosemary! I love your colours and fussy cutting! The leaves are magic! I love that fabric.
ReplyDeleteRosemary, your blocks radiate your enthusiasm and jubilance!!! : ) I too happen to love how your leaves and stems unify the blocks, yet each block is unique onto itself. Excellent save and no one would ever have had to know about the snip. Thank you for sharing with ALL of us. : ) I sew appreciate this wealth of information and shared community of like minded appliquers!
ReplyDeleteYou know i think that is the best thing about Kaffe's fabrics, that they can make us feel happy, I totally know what you mean! Your blocks are beautiful Rosemary. xo
ReplyDeletei love booboo's, they give the work a personal touch. [i made a cut in the binding area on a kids quilt, so i made-up a bandaid look/shape applique patch, and it looked great.]
ReplyDeleteRosemary, block is looking delish - it's coming along really fast now. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteI love looking at this blog too, I'm just amazed at what everyone is doing with their quilts. I must say that you're sewing a lot faster than I did! And the Kaffes make me smile too when I go into my sewing space. Cheers, Kim McL
