Hearts and Flowers Quilt
Sorry photos not in order!
I just loved making this quilt for my daughter, she LOVES Pink!
It's freezer paper/glue, machine zig zag in clear nylon. I'm 'Barb' and 'Barb Rose' ....... I seem to come up with two names? Bye
Wow. You did a terrific job getting your photos posted. And the quilt is just wonderful in the pink. Love the colors. I hadn't been planning to make this quilt, but seeing yours makes me want to try it...if I ever finish my Stars and Sprigs.
Can someone please tell me - do I have to click on each person's posted comment to say Thanks! or answer a question? OR if they want to know more do they click on my blog? This Hearts And Flowers Quilt is almost like the Original -the only noticeable difference is the Pink background fabric and the Stripe Border Fabric. (The heart in the centre is the same). AND I didn't put the circles in Border number Two. I plan on having this quilt custom quilted. I haven't appliqued a quilt by hand (YET!). This quilt is a freezer paper/glue, machine zig zag with nylon thread - and was so much fun to do! (I was always afraid to try nylon thread because it's all curly and thin and fly away BUT when I learned that you can anchor with a few small straight stitches first at the beginning and the end - It was all good after that, plus I use masking tape to stick it down at the start). My daughter has seen her quilt but not with the border on, she has to wait now until October 2011 for her 18th Birthday!!! Bye
It's gorgeous Barb and we'd all love to have an encore when it's quilted. Regarding the comments, you can reply as you have above in the comments section, we don't reply to individual comments as they come through email as no reply blogger. It won't take long to get the hang of the blogging.
