This blog is dedicated to applique. Glorious applique!!! The focus here will be hand applique, but there is room for machine applique too. Kim McLean is the designer whose patterns and quilts we will be working on together. Are you ready?! Let's SEW!!!
You did a fantastic job on your quilt. I have been collecting my fabrics before I start. I just can't decide what I want to use for my background... Thanks for sharing!
Thanks everyone for your nice comments.Pip loved yours too.Kim have to confess getting it quilted so just want to finally put it on my bed lol. Have to say though from someone who hated needleturn really enjoy it ,though still struggle with my neatness me all over I guess.
Nice to hear that you enjoy the needleturn! it sure is a faster way to applique, I'm not doing much handquilting either now. My head tells me that the quilt is done when the applique is finished. Dont worry about the neatness, the main thing is that it is done and the colours are amazing! K
Oh, it is gorgeous. I am still working on my first border; but seeing yours done makes me want to stop everything and work on my quilt. I hope you post it again when it is quilted. I would love to see what you decided. Enjoy!
It's just a fantastic looking quilt and what a great job on the applique. Is till haven't finished the first border on mine but ill get there and I hope it looks as good as yours!
Congrats on finishing! Absolutely stunning, Gorgeous, Fabulous! Reading about your number of UFO's, I realize I'm not the only crazy one, so I might just open my FG pattern packet and get it going this month.... I too have a year of "only doing UFO's" Ha! but still managed to start 3 new ones in July ; )
Wow! I have the pattern...that's as far as I have gotten on this project. Now, I am inspired to at least get one block prepared. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! You make it more difficult for me to chose which pattern to start with first - they are all fabulous!
