Glorious Garden

24 blocks of Glorious Garden
I have started on my Glorious Garden (my name for Kim's Flower Garden pattern), quilt on January 3, 2013. Here I have all the blocks completed as of today July 4th 2013. The photo below shows the beginning of the top border. This is was done using needle turn applique in about 105,000 air miles. My favorite airport/flight activity other than reading. I am moving soon, so the floor is the only place to display it for now.

    beautiful work.. only 6 months.. you are a wizard. took me 15 months to get the appliqué done, sewing practically every night. I shall look forward to seeing more of this, love the name BTW

    Thank you all for the wonderful comments. I am using needle turn applique. I mark the fabric with thin line crayola water soluble markers. When I am done, I rinse the blocks in cold water and the marks wash off. I soak in clean water for about 20 minutes to make sure that no residue is left. I do not use the red or the orange markers because they are harder to remove. Thanks again.

    Wow, beautiful work! You've really put those airmiles to good use! 105k miles since January! That's gruelling. But I'm sure the applique is a tonic!
