This blog is dedicated to applique. Glorious applique!!! The focus here will be hand applique, but there is room for machine applique too. Kim McLean is the designer whose patterns and quilts we will be working on together. Are you ready?! Let's SEW!!!
Have had so many problems posting these photos.Anyway finished at last.I used Kaffee green paisley on the back added a central panel of some Kaffee blocks to make up the amount needed.Got the front done in all over stippling by machine.Anyway I now have it on the bed,its lovely and warm and I love it lol
Looks fantastic Wendy, so glad you have it on the bed now! Love the backing fabric too. Thats a clever idea using a centre panel, I must remember that. I spend a lot of time matching the fabric panels for the backing.K
It's stunning, Wendy, and it looks great on the bed! The green paisley is wonderful on the back too -- so seldom do we really get to see the whole pattern with that design.
Pat yourself on the back, Wendy, it's a job well done!
Congratulations on your lovely quilt! Finishing is such an accomplishment!! Pretty backing too. A quilt like that on the bed would certainly ensure wonderful dreams each night.
Congratulations to you! What a beautiful quilt--your colors are bright and lively and work so well together. It must feel great to have it finished and on the bed.
Honestly - not too many quilts strike my fancy....but this one is absolutely beautiful! It makes me wish I knew how to do that - but I have no idea where to start. Never learned to sew/quilt/etc....
