It took a while. I bought the background fabric in August 2010 and took the first stitches in October 2010. I finished the quilting in July 2012. The applique and the quilting were all done by hand and I enjoyed every bit of it. I especially loved the appliqued double circles for some reason--I never got tired of them. This quilt hangs in my family room and I get a lot of pleasure peering at it and admiring my fabric choices. I reduced the pattern in size; my version is 57" X 64". Thanks to Kim McLean for an irresistible pattern, and to all the Glorious Applique bloggers who kept me inspired. |
