I took a long hiatus from this pattern and it feels good to get back to it. I used my "fancy stitiches" as my husband calls them to make the machine applique a little more interesting, combining it with hand applique also.
I have the borders and corners cut and have started preping them for the applique. I plan to do a combination of machine and hand once again. Feeling excited to get at least one border done as I truly love those birds!!will post agin once I have completed at least one border.

ReplyDeleteLove the combination of machine and hand stitches...did you turn the machine applique pieces?
ReplyDeleteNo, they are just raw edged. with some fusible along the edges to help keep things in place until I stitched it on.
