Block #2

Finally finished my second block. Can't believe the patience I have with this project. I am enjoying the journey so much I surprise even myself! It is because of you all, your notes and your photos of your progress that this journey is so special and keeps me going.
http://www.thequiltshow.com/ blog has a wonderful Smile box of the Baltimore Exhibit in Houston. Kim, your Roseville looks great!
Thank you for sharing!

  1. They're both so beautiful, Brenda. I love your color scheme, especially the 2nd block. Do you know what the purple and green fabric at the top and bottom of your vase is--the one with the squiggles? I could sure use that in my Flower Pots. I'm using a sold background of just that green.

  4. Gosh Brenda, it is a stunner!! Love all your fussy cutting, had to smile at the berries - they are so cute. Great fabric use for the vase. Just love the two blocks together.
Thanks for the link to Quiltshow, love the bit with the cats playing pattycakes, our cats used to do that before it became a full scale brawl and had to throw a bowl of of cold water to break it up. I'm really incompetent though, I can't find the section with the Baltimore Exhibit. Do I have to join first? I've had a great time going through alll blogs, but still can't locate it, help! Cheers, Kim McL

  8. Dear Leland, the pattern of this fabric is island. It is a stripe of different patterns.
Thank you all for the compliments! They mean a great deal to me. By the time I finished #2, I couldn't even see the block any more..it's all a blur. Obviously, I haven't figured how to edit color... Now I can't wait to start
#3. I do have a few stems made. I can stitch those for a few days while I think about the flowers.
