boy, those 2 roses came out perfect....awesome
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with bertiequilts, those roses are fantastic.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful - the roses are fabulous.
ReplyDeleteAnn, WOW
ReplyDeleteLove your block
The vase is super.
The block is wonderful, Ann! Is it the choice of the brown fabric you're not sure about? Because I think that balances the color choices really well. I like it! And I agree that the vase is spectacular.
ReplyDeleteHello Ann
ReplyDeleteThose roses turned out divine.
Wish my kit would hurry up and arrive i feel like fussy cutting out today after seeing those roses but alas, i have to keep waiting *sighs*
Adele xx
Of course you will leave them! Everyone is looking at the wonderful roses! If something's not broken, why try to fix it, lol!
ReplyDeleteHugs - Lurline♥
We are always our own worse critics LOL I LOVE this block!! Well Done!!
ReplyDeleteCrispy
I hope you leave those two middle pieces in, they look like they balance the other darker colours up nicely. Thw whole block looks fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your encouragement.
ReplyDeleteThe fabric with the roses is Phillip Jacob's Floral Burst-red. It took a half yard cut to get two full roses. I had another fabric that was about 1/2" shy of letting me get a rose that was a little bit darker.
your fabric choices are wonderful, not only do your flowers but your vase looks absolutely amazing. I cannot wait to see what you do with your next block.
ReplyDeleteStunning! I wouldn't change a thing!
ReplyDeleteAnn the 'roses' are amazing! I am inspired!
ReplyDeleteAnn, you're a marvel, the roses look fantastic!!And love the vase fabric, when I was doing my quilt, my daughter asked me why I've drawn an alien spaceship for a vase! Actually there is a vase in an 1800's Baltimore quilt that is the inspiration for it! The original looks a lot more " refined"! Kim McL
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful Ann, I'm really enjoying seeing your blocks come together. Love the roses. xo
ReplyDeleteLOL..the vase reminded me of a spider! ;)
