This blog is dedicated to applique. Glorious applique!!! The focus here will be hand applique, but there is room for machine applique too. Kim McLean is the designer whose patterns and quilts we will be working on together. Are you ready?! Let's SEW!!!
Wow. Wonderful to see them all together. I see that leaf now that you've mentioned it.....but I think it helps your eye to move around the block and will probably be even more effective once the whole top is together. To me it makes the block more interesting. You could always applique a little something extra there...a ladybug?
Your blocks look wonderful together! I like that leaf. It appears to be repeating the color from the vase below and to the left of it, giving the block a harmonious feel? You have a beautiful mix of warm and cool colors in your blocks. :)
It just sew happens that I especially like that one leaf that is bothering you, Paula. : ) I like the color it adds. I LOVE the veins and texture it brings. And I enjoy the whimsy it adds to your block!
well dear friends, the leaf has been replaced, I will post a picture shortly. Knowing myself like I do, had I not replaced it today and waited, when the top was finished I would have had to do it then. Oh yes, did I tell you all that "I am an Anal Obsessive Compulsive Quilter" heavy on the 4 words, lol lol lol ah now I can sleep tonight. Thank you all for your very nice comments.....
They look wonderful together!
ReplyDeletethank you, that one leaf is bugging me, the one just to the right of center. I may change it
