This blog is dedicated to applique. Glorious applique!!! The focus here will be hand applique, but there is room for machine applique too. Kim McLean is the designer whose patterns and quilts we will be working on together. Are you ready?! Let's SEW!!!
I'm doing guest posting for Quilter 501 who wishes to remain anonymous so I can't take credit, they're her blocks not mine but I'm really happy that she's sharing them.
The birds are especially fun to do. I just keep sliding my freezer paper template over the fabrics until I find a piece that will show an eye possibly, but for sure that two tones the body and the tail.....giving them a natural division. Then the body/tail can be one piece and I just need to add a wing that will show up. I think what I love most about this quilt is the variety of options for EVERYTHING. It can't help but be individual!!!!! Thanks to all who have commented and to Kim for her tutorials and fun, fun pattern
A cow with a big heart and a pink pig with bluebirds, can it get any better? Fabulous and fun, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThese are just too fun. They really brought a smile to my face.
ReplyDeleteHow cute!! Great job! Like the big heart.
