What is a girl to do

Look what my lovely postman brought me today....

So wonderful! I am in heaven. Now, I have to stick at Stars and Sprigs until it's finished before I start on this baby, but I can have two of these going at once don't you think?  :) Ok, ok, back to my stars I go, I haven't pieced in a while, but I think I am getting the hang of it
Cheers...Kelli

  1. uhhh fun! I'd be eager to work on it too, I have a quilt applique project too, just deciding if I'll do needle turn or machine quilt, I'm leaning back to needle turn now...

  2. I have my stars going with my flower garden. I recommend sticking to the one, though. You'll reach the satisfying finish so much faster!

  3. Kelli - I love your posts and your enthusiasm! I am always quietly following this blog, so inspired by the work that everyone is doing. I am just about to start Flower Pots which looks to be one of the easiest of Kim's amazing patters, and I'm a little afraid, I don't want to make a mistake and hand applique is new to me. Please, keep posting! You are funny and inspiring, and you're a great writer!

    1. thanks Sherri (with an 'i' just like me) :)
I did a twelve block-of-the-month last year, hand applique, but with the starch method, not needleturn. You can really see my improvement from block one to block twelve, I love looking over it and reminiscing over each block, and it is a good way for you to see where you came from (icky pointy edges and rounded corners)don't worry about mistakes at all, it makes it yours, you aren't entering into some quilting competition are you?? Also, the bright colours and patterns hide a multitude of stitching sins :) LOL

  4. Oh my! I can't imagine having two of these wonderful projects going at the same time.
The logistics boggle my mind. ;)

  5. Nah, go for it Kelli - with the Pandemonium, you use a lot of different fabrics,so, whilst you've got your stash spread out, might as well cut for the both and put in different zip lock bags!
    Fabrics look great! K
