This is Nancy Smith's Flower Pots quilt. I love the deep colors she used - they just give it a nice contrast. It is hand-pieced and hand quilted.
And here is Nancy's version of the Roseville Album. It is a smaller quilt minus the inside border blocks.
Here is a close-up.
Last, we have the Hearts and Flowers quilt, beautifully done with many shades of rose, fuchsia and blues. It is amazing how much stitching Nancy gets done but she told me she spends her time stitching and not on the internet.........hmmm, maybe my quilts would come along a little faster if I did the same!! Enjoy and thank you Nancy for sharing your quilts!
They are all so lovely! The Roseville looks great in the smaller version--what a good idea. Love the glowing pinks of the Hearts and Flowers--so pretty! (I may have to give this one a try sometime!) If I could get results like these, I'd cut down on my internet time too! Thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeletejust beautiful , tell her I really enjoyed seeing her work and maybe I need to follow her lead and stay off computer and out of blogland!
ReplyDeleteLOL

ReplyDeleteLove the smaller version of the RA quilt; I am doing something smaller too though final layout TBD. Good to see others ideas. Please share my pleasure at seeing her work with Nancy!
Tell Nancy her work is superb! We should all spend less time on the net. Hey, wait a minute! I'd miss you all too much!
ReplyDeleteThank you again Judith and Nancy for sharing the quilts! they are just gorgeous!! The smaller Roseville is lovely too, I'm glad someone has done the smaller version framed with the last vine border. The flower pot quilt is yummy, love the darker fabrics in it. Well done Nancy, keep up the stitching! Hope you are going to enter them in a show? Kim McL
ReplyDeleteI love what Nancy has done with the star block in Flower Pots. The fabric selection makes it dance. Beautiful quilts!
ReplyDeleteI want to thank everyone for their wonderful comments on my quilts. They have been wonderful to read. I certainly enjoy doing applique and have really enjoyed Kim's patterns. Thank you everyone and especially my wonderful daughter Michelle for her comments on the Princess Feather. It's so great to be a quilter and have your family appreciate what you do. Many thanks also to Judy for posting the pictures. She is a wonderful quilter and friend. Nancy Smith
