This blog is dedicated to applique. Glorious applique!!! The focus here will be hand applique, but there is room for machine applique too. Kim McLean is the designer whose patterns and quilts we will be working on together. Are you ready?! Let's SEW!!!
I was ready to organise my next couple of blocks for appliquéing and I thought I would put the completed ones on the design wall. I hadn't realised how many I had finished. The photos are not the best and the layout is a bit random at the moment.
Diane, not really, if you see mine in close up there are "problem"areas. I did try to use the smallest possible seam allowance and dipped my needle in a glue stick when I sewed the inward curves.
I am crazy about your colors! The blue background is strong and dynamic and sets off the florals so beautifully. I look forward to seeing it put together.
Jennifer, Any tips on appliqueing the coral trees in the bottom panel?
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Diane
