This blog is dedicated to applique. Glorious applique!!! The focus here will be hand applique, but there is room for machine applique too. Kim McLean is the designer whose patterns and quilts we will be working on together. Are you ready?! Let's SEW!!!
Wow--lucky you to be done with the center squares! The warm colors you've used are really pretty! I love your flowers, and the fabric you used on the narrow strips on the vase is great! (Is that the bead/corn looking one by Kaffe?)
Well done Paula!! Love the fussy cutting of the flowers, looks fantastic. You're done with the centre blocks, it will be the easy road now - won't be long before you're finished. Which border are you going to do first? Kim McL
thanks all, I will start the bottom long block next, after I sew all these 9 together. I checked my notes and I started the first block for the RA in early Nov, 2010, however I was still hand quilting on the Aunt Millie's Garden quilt, so didn't do much on the RA in 2010.
With so little time lately, I hadn't realized that those two flowers were fussy cut and I love the look! Love the fabric colors in this block and how they work together. Wonderful Paula!
Excellent fussy cutting. The color combinations here are so very cheery.
