Isn't this

ExCiTiNg?!?!?! I am SEW thrilled and tickled with the interest and support this little blog has been receiving. Welcome everyone!!!  Please, keep the enthusiasm and interest coming!  Spread the word! : )

BIG thanks must go out to Janet, Kathie, Liza and, of course, Kim for helping me to make this blog a reality!!! I would never have imagined such a thing a year ago.

One year ago, this month, I began stitching Kim's Flower Pots design. I was taken with her wonderful wonky pattern and had a blast stitching those bold shapes. I am currently getting ready to machine quilt my completed top. Wish me luck!?

Meanwhile, I have begun a new sewing journey with Kim's just released Roseville Album. For me, it's a bit more challenging than Flower Pots, but I am loving every stitch I make. And, isn't that what it's all about...?!

For those who have asked, the Roseville Album pattern (or a kit) can be purchased through the Glorious Color website. Their link is on the sidebar of this blog. Stars and Sprigs is due for release in September. So, keep an eye out for that one also! ; )

And, no. I am not affiliated with Liza, Glorious Color or Kim McLean. I am just a regular quilter person who happened to connect with others while sewing Kim's designs, and look, here we are...!

This is a picture of my finished Flower Pots quilt top.
Next, perhaps a photo of my Roseville Album squirrel panel...?!

Thanks for allowing me to share this journey with you.  I appreciate your time, and look forward to hearing from you as you stitch too.

Piecefully, Pam

  1. I love your Flower Pots. I am currently working on Flower Pots which is my first KIM McLean pattern I am doing. (I also have Lollypop Trees) I am using asian/oriental fabrics for mine as I love the gold and silver accents. I have one block completed and the second one with the stars almost done, actually the stars are slowing me down.

  4. I'm not sure I can see the quilt very well in the pics. Could you please send it to me for closer inspection? ;)
Good luck with the quilting. What type of machine will you be using? That part sounds scary!

  6. I'm looking forward to seeing how you decide how to quilt it. It's gorgeous and the colours are so balanced throughout the top. Another quilt for my list.

  10. That is lovely Pam, as Liza asked how are you planning to quilt it? It is always interesting to see how people choose to quilt their quilts, you know that quilt as desired thing, it stumps me everytime =)

  11. Your Flower Pots quilts is stunning. The choice of colours really appeals to me. How much practice do I have to do to achieve something like this. What is a good suggestion for a beginner to attempt?

  12. Chrisee - you left a "no comment reply" and I don't know how to get in touch with you...?! I've been doing hand applique for several years, but used this pattern to teach hand applique to beginners. Because the pieces are large it makes handling them easier for someone new to applique. Just work on one block at a time. Focus on what's in your hand and don't think about the WHOLE quilt. Good luck and have FUN!!! : )
