This blog is dedicated to applique. Glorious applique!!! The focus here will be hand applique, but there is room for machine applique too. Kim McLean is the designer whose patterns and quilts we will be working on together. Are you ready?! Let's SEW!!!
I have taken a long vacation from the Lollys in order to work on two books. I am nearing the end of that process so I can return to finishing the wee blocks for the border. Here are the ones I have finished so far.
Wow! These border units look so dramatic on the dark background. I can't wait to see the assembled quilt. I just received my copy of Quilts in Sweden yesterday and can't get over the wonderful color, both in the quilts and in the historical settings. It may slow you down to work on books, but know that we are grateful!
You have such wonderful fussy cuts and the colors are really beautiful against that dark background! You don't have very much to do yet? I'm so glad you do the books, but it's so fun to see the progress on your quilt too! :)
Hi Eileen The books I am working on wont be out until next year. The most recent book we did is Quilts in Sweden and just became available this month Liza
These blocks would look great in a quilt on their own, gorgeous colours on the black. More books, can't wait. I have loved every single book you guys have produced Liza. They never fail to inspire me! xo
It's great to see your progress Liza. Oh boy, these superb blocks would make an awesome quilt on their own.
ReplyDeleteLove all the fussy cutting of flowers, everything just pops on that background.
ReplyDeleteFabulous! You should just mail them to me so I can skip the border. ;)
ReplyDeleteThey are so lovely.
