Sorry for the long delay but i have had a shocking cold and just getting over it now. Can't say i really like this block i noticed a did a mistake in this block the cactus thing in the middle should be a different shape too the rest but it will do.
Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day to take pictures of the next 3 blocks but it is really overcast i am so over the rain it has rained here for the last 2 weeks non stop would really love to see some sunshine.
I just wish you can see the real colour of the background fabric it is a pinky lavendar colour is is really divine.
Enjoying all your work ladies.
Till next time.

Well done, Adele. The vase fabric and centered bird makes a good focal point!

ReplyDeletecheers
very nice, I love your color selections. great job!
ReplyDeleteYour block is great. I am looking forward to see your other blocks.
ReplyDeleteThis was a fussy block to do and yours looks great! I love your urn fabric especially. I got a piece of that fabric in my kit and couldn't find a way to use it.
ReplyDeleteIt's been dark and grey here too. It sure does seem to zap ones energy? I'm glad to hear you're feeling a bit better.
I'm looking forward to seeing your next blocks. I'm wishing you some sunshine! :)
Your vase fabric is wonderful and goes so well with the little birds. It is just so interesting to share because every time I see someone's block I see fabric I have never seen before that I wish was in my closet.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing block, Adele!!! I just love how you used your fabrics and the color selections you made. Beautiful and inspiring. ; )
ReplyDeleteWishing you sunshine!!! I WANT to see those next blocks...
Adele, your block is brilliant.
ReplyDeleteI am finding that Roseville is the quilt to use my fabric in that I wonder what I bought it for. Some fabrics I have had for years and now am using it in my Roseville. A tree fabric I just used in my panel I bought before I started quilting.
HOpe you are feeling better. I love the subtlety of the cactus spines. What a fun vase fabric with the fussy cut bird. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteyour blocks are smashingly awesome! love the fabric use!
ReplyDeleteYour block looks great! I almost put the same bird fabric in that same block, hmmm, had it cut out and pinned on then changed my mine about it. I do like yours and the background choice.
ReplyDeleteReally gorgeous Adele! Nice fussy cutting, Kim McL
ReplyDeleteI know that background fabric and it is lovely. I love the vase with the bird that gives the block that oomph.
ReplyDeleteLove the blue bird vase (and his two companion blue birds). Looking forward to more of your blocks--it's fun to see your background fabric!
