Hi! This is my first post but I have been enjoying this blog for several months. I started doing the Hearts and Flowers quilt and finally finished the center block. I am having a bit of trouble getting the scallops to line up but it has been fun quilt so far.
Pretty! And great fussy cutting! (In fact, you've given me several new ideas of how to use my fabrics in different ways!)
ReplyDeleteYour scallops look lovely. And your color choices are really nice.
ReplyDeleteVERY pretty Mary Anne! I love the fabrics you're using and the way you've fussy cut them. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great start, Mary Anne! Love your scallop fabric choices. It's wonderful to see what everyone else is doing and great fun to be able to post our own and hear back. Please pass on anything you learn about lining up the scallops that might help the rest of us.
ReplyDeleteA favorite pattern of mine of Kaffe's and you did it such a compliment with your own details. I love the scalloped edges!!! Keep posting, you are an inspiration!
ReplyDeleteWonderful Mary An, You chose your fabrics verry nicely. I'm also working on this beuatiful quilt.
ReplyDeleteAnd it is sure fun making it.
Mary Anne, your Hearts and Flowers quilt is looking BEAUTIFUL!!! I LOVE the dotted background fabric and your use of pinks, magenta and purples!!! I think your scallops look fine. Honest. I don't see anything that seems wonky. One of the things I admire about Kim's patterns is their sense of folk art and lack of formal Baltimore Album rules. Enjoy your stitching. I can't wait to see more!? ; )
ReplyDeleteIt all looks lined up beautifully to me so you did a great job and it looks fantastic. I especially love the colours for the heart.
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love it! Fabulous colors. What a way to start out.
ReplyDeleteAwesome!! this is the one I'm doing too!
