Hi fellow addicts,
Had a great shopping spree in the States and found some wonderful Kaffee fabric. Can't wait to get started on this fantastic quilt. I'll have to slow down a bit because I managed to break my foot the day after coming home, fell down 2 steps! And since all my sewing stuff is upstairs, including the computer I'll have to take it easy. I love the blue cloudy fabric that I bought for my background material. Wish we luck and hopefully Ill be able to get started soon.

What a nice bundle of blues and I love the background you've chosen. I'd be setting up a bed upstairs, lol. Seriously, I hope you mend quickly so you can get to your first block.
ReplyDeletePoor Lorene! Very frustrating, I'm sure. Your fabrics are lovely--they'll be waiting when you're ready. Get well soon.
ReplyDeleteso sorry to hear about your foot. Where in the US were you able to purchase your fabrics. Love your selection....
ReplyDeletegreat fabric...to console you. Sorry about the foot
ReplyDeleteHow frustrating to break your foot just when you want to get started; maybe you will heal up faster knowing what's waiting. I don't think we have seen a mostly-blue quilt yet, so I am really looking forward to your blocks.
ReplyDeletePoor thing! I hope you recover soon and can start working with this lovely bundle of fabrics!
ReplyDeleteI am intrigued by the background fabric you've chosen. I'm looking forward to seeing how you put things together. My daughter broke her ankle in the summer of 2009. She got a lot of handwork done............ Hope you heal quickly.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear about your fall. Hopefully, you'll heal quickly?
ReplyDeleteIs there someone that could come over and fetch a few things for you so you can do some stitching?
I love the blues you chose. So pretty with that background. :)
Your fabrics are lovely and that background will be amazing! So sorry to hear about your foot. Here's a thought...can you go up and down the stairs sitting on your tush? Put some stitching things in a basket, sit it on your lap, and fanny slide your way back down the stairs - CAREFULLY! ; )
ReplyDeleteThe fabrics are beautiful. So sorry to hear about your foot. Take it easy. I did what the doctor said when I broke mine and healed fast and was able to get back on with my life.
ReplyDeleteGo Lorraine go!
ReplyDeleteI hope that you are feeling well soon, I love your fabrics and I am sure you will be stitching away in a couple of weeks.
ReplyDeleteHey Pam,
ReplyDeleteI'm doing the tush thing going up and down the stairs and I've got a super helpful daughter who fetches things for me. Thanks for all your comments and well wishes.
Have someone bring your things to you. You could be cutting out templates, tracing, basting, any hand sewing or just drooling over the fabrics or making ideas as to where to place each fabric.
