ReplyDeleteCongratulations Kim! What an honor to have your quilt be the one that catches everyone's eye and draws them in to the show. It will be great fun to see your quilt in the catalog.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could have seen it in person. :)
Houston...We have ROSEVILLE!!! How AWESOME is that!?!?!? Congratulations to YOU, Kim!!! : )
ReplyDeleteWhile I'm NOT at Houston, I do know photography is prohibited in their "special" exhibits. And, the Album quilts come under this category.
Wouldn't it be amazing to SEE Kim's Roseville Album in person...?!?!?!
Those of you at Market or the Show - ENJOY!!! We look forward to hearing from you!!! ; ) Thanks for sharing with us!!!
Congratulations, Kim. "Roseville" deserves to be a superstar! I wish I could be there in person to see it.
ReplyDeleteI would expect that we will see a surge in visitors to this blog with RA being a "star" in Houston.
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone!! Wish I'd gone to Houston now - too late. Thank you Liza for telling me to send the application in to the special exhibit, I wouldn't have known about it. The RA was probably the most enjoyable one to make out of the three Baltimores I've done. I do love those album quilts. They are interesting because each block is different and you kind of get a feeling of achievement when you've finished one. And I have a short attention span too.
ReplyDeleteAnother thing, the RA is going on to the other quilt shows that IQA is doing in 2011, the quilt is not coming home till the end of August 2011, you'll have to check IQA's website to find out the locations of the shows.
Thanks Liza for bagging the catalog, no hurry though, may be it can go with the new season's fabrics - heh heh heh. Cheers, Kim McL
Saw it yesterday. It is glorious! So great to see in person. Everyone around was amazed!
ReplyDeletePosted on an earlier one, but does anyone know if Annette Gero's book is available in the US ? I have emailed her in Australia several times and she doesnt respond.
ReplyDeleteThanks............
Oh yes I did see Kim's quilt hanging in Houston and it looks fantastic, sorry no pictures as it was part of the special display for Baltimore Quilts and no pictures allowed.
