This blog is dedicated to applique. Glorious applique!!! The focus here will be hand applique, but there is room for machine applique too. Kim McLean is the designer whose patterns and quilts we will be working on together. Are you ready?! Let's SEW!!!
I can't wait to see the panel with the rest of your blocks. Your fabric choices are fantastic, when you look at the close-up of the House and the trees, it is so much fun to figure out which fabrics you used. I imagine you had a lot of fun making those circles, when you made the trees it probably was like miniature lollipop trees.I personally know that making lollipop trees is absolutely wonderful. Your block is so bright, cheery and happy.
Fantastic. Congratulations Ann! I can't wait to see more. All the house fabrics are inspired, most especially the roof. The tree on the left uses one of my all-time favorite fabrics--I'm using it in an applique baby quilt at the moment. It makes a great tree--I'll have to remember that.
Ann - continue to be awed by how quickly you are pulling this quilt together. Pink kitties and all the other are fun..... this is a fun quilt. Happy Stitchin'
Love your fabric choices! I've been wondering about incorporating one color fabrics and your colors are so clear and bright. Had to look back to see if that was the same background fabric you had been using (it is of course). Your house is spectacular.
Thank you for your encouraging comments! It took me a while to choose that roof fabric, but once I had auditioned several choices, I was sure the green scales fabric would work? I added a window to the door..and a couple extra circles to the tree on the right so I could add more color. :)
Your house panel is FABULOUS, Ann!!! I LOVE the flag fabric that you chose for the house, and I am especially fond of that aqua front door...!!! ; ) The pink pussy cats are darling, and I really like your tree fabric choices too. AWESOME!!! I think we NEED to see ALL your blocks and the panel together!!!
I love the window in the door--very homey and welcoming! You are a more enthusiastic circle stitcher than I am, but adding extra circles is such a good way to add color. It's a terrific panel!
