Lollypop #10

I am continuing work on the Roseville border as I am still avoiding the block with the vase that I was not pleased with. The Mantra-----never underestimate the border-----is true as it is taking a LONG time. I think it is because of the "hands" which are putsy.

I have completed my 1oth lolly block and have a good start of # 11.

  4. Oh no!..Don't tell us the border doesn't go along like a breeze. I keep telling myself it's going to be easy after all of the intense work on the body of the quilt. ;)
    Yours is beautiful!

I love your Lollipop block too. That's such a fun quilt. :)

  7. Mary, I'm glad you are tackling the last vine border now, there are 4 of those, so breaking up the task is really a good idea. What I do when I need to do repetitive border is to count how many flowers / leaves so you can allocate x number for each colour - it simplify the gathering of fabric choices. Then cut up the fabric blobs in the different colurs for all 4 borders.
The border is looking great, lovely colours! Love the lollypop block too. Cheers, Kim McL

  8. Thanks for the border advice. I knew there was a more organized way to choose the colors, but hadn't thought it through.
