This blog is dedicated to applique. Glorious applique!!! The focus here will be hand applique, but there is room for machine applique too. Kim McLean is the designer whose patterns and quilts we will be working on together. Are you ready?! Let's SEW!!!
I finished my last panel and am so happy to have the center together. I have enjoyed everyones pictures of their progress, great inspiriation to keep going.
Absolutely wonderful, Denise! You may be inspired by others, but I am inspired by your beautiful work. I am interested in how many hours per day or week you feel you put into your quilt? I feel I am working very slowly but maybe it's just my lack of available time.
Denise this is absolutely gorgeous. I love to watch everyone and their progress, living through your quilters eyes. This is a truly gorgeous quilt and hope to see the quilting progress now that your top is together. Any ideas??
Absolutely stunning Denise! Each element of your quilt is beautiful on it's own. Added together they make a spectacular show. Those borders look pretty simple compared to some of the intense blocks/panels. You should be done in no time. ;) Any thoughts on how you'll quilt this?
Love it! What is your background? I've been looking for something like that but no luck around here. I'm slowly collecting Kaffe, Brandon, and Amy Butler fabrics so I can start one of Kim's beauties in the future. Thanks
Heavens, what a gorgeous quilt Denise!! you're on the homerun now, wasn't that hard was it? One block at a time and before you know it, it's done! Look forward to the last bits, Kim McL
Thank you so much for all of the great compliments. Penny, my background is a marbled blue-grey fabric. I have awhile to think of the quilting but I do know I will machine quilt it. I am anxious to start Flower Garden. Thank you Kim. Yes one block at a time but the side panels took forever but in the end they are really incredible.
I am........ Wow! That is stunning. How I wish I could make something like that. Fantastic work. This is art to me. :D
