since I am making my flower garden in repros I decided I needed to make my fabric work a bit harder to be bold like so many of the "bright" fabrics!
so what do you think of my leaves????
you can see how I made them on my blog!
now to figure out how to make big bold flowers , any suggestions????
Kathie

Your leaves look fantastic Kathie.
ReplyDeleteI love how you've done the leaves, it just shows how you can make fabric do the work. You could always split some of the bigger flower shapes by drawing in new lines but that would add extra pieces. The other idea is to add little circles to add extra colour, Kim's suggestion from the class.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun, Kathie! Love those leaves. I'm sure you will come up with great ideas for the flowers and can't wait to see them. Loved looking at other things on your blog too. I keep thinking about doing a log cabin so your courthouse steps blocks look so appealing to me. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteLove those split leaves Kathie, the antique Baltimore quilts did those a lot, Well Done! Kim McL
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea--I hope I can remember to try it too!
