Your block is beautiful, Nedra. I agree that those inner curves can be challenging. And whether each of us is a snail or not, I feel it's all about the process and enjoying the end result whenever we get there. I'm not working on any other applique until my Stars and Sprigs pattern arrives so maybe I am just a rock.....for the moment!
ReplyDeleteSnails are kind of cute little creatures. . . I know because I am one too. It's the old saying, "Slow and steady wins the race."
ReplyDeleteI love all the movement you created with the fabrics in your block. It doesn't matter if we are the snail or the turtle, all it matters is if we are having fun, from the looks of your beautiful block, you are.
ReplyDeleteIt looks wonderful and I don't think it matters at all how quickly or slowly your make the blocks so long as you're enjoying the process...I'm not a quick stitcher either :)
ReplyDeletePretty block--it looks great! I'm a snail and I struggle with the inner curves too, so you have company! We can inch along together...
ReplyDeleteNedra - your second block is BEAUTIFUL! : ) I LOVE the fabrics you used and the colors you chose.
ReplyDeleteSpeed doesn't matter, it's the journey that counts. Enjoy yours and thank you for sharing it with us.
Your block is really yummy Nedra, looks an absolute picture! And you've been collecting Kaffes for a while haven't you! Love the fabrics you've used. Cheers, Kim McL
ReplyDeleteSO pretty! It's not a race Nedra..it's a journey. Enjoy your stitching. In the end it won't matter how long it took. It will matter that you have a beautiful quilt. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful block, great work. I love your stripey circle!
ReplyDeleteThank you ALL for your kind words of praise and support. It is especially exciting to know that you are following Kim!!! Your designs are so much fun and finding just the right fabric and fussy cut makes it even more so. I'm happy to be a cute snail cause I'm loving every minute of the journey!! Nedra
ReplyDeleteDear Nedra,
ReplyDeleteYour joy is evident in your work! Your block is absolutely gorgeous!
