House Building & a Tabby Cat

Just a quick little note about the current block I am working on. I had a blue cat that just was not quite right and I could not find a piece large enough in a color I liked (I know hard to believe with all the wonderful colors we are working with in this fabric). Anyway, the answer was in the blog - piece the fabric -Thank You Denise - great idea! I love this little orange striped cat.

Happy Stitching and have a good weekend all,

Cheri

  1. I love your kitty!
You chose the same fabric I thought I'd use for the house. They were out of the red scales. It's a treat to see how it looks. Thanks for posting your progress pic!

  2. Also love the kitty!!! this unit is looking great, keep up the good work.
I was thinking about using the new 'pencils' fabric to look like logs on the house.

Glad my piecing idea helped you with your cat fabrics. When I was choosing fabrics for my cat I had two pieces I liked but both were to small so I pieced them.
    Your bird looks great also.

  8. Wondering what size you made the small branches of the tree? They look smaller than 1/4" and I love the look.
