It feels

g-l-o-r-i-o-u-s!!!  I did some SEWING today.  : )  Thank you for your kindness and understanding.  I am working on Kim's Hearts and Flowers quilt.  I have NOT enlarged the pattern.  I am sewing it actual size, and I am doing it by machine.  Here's what I've got so...sew far.
Piecefully, Pam

  5. Wonderful! It is so much fun to see the color choices others make for the same pattern. It is so inspirational. And Pam, Thank you so much for taking the time you do for this blog. Now, it's up and running....take time for yourself. ;-) I will say quilter's are patient. How else would we devote so much time to cutting fabric up and putting it back togehter!

  7. When you start out and have a picture in your mind how you want it to be, does it turn into something different? Usually does with me! It is a lovely applique.

  12. It looks wonderful with the yellow and I love the mix of colours with it. I must go look at the size in the book to get an idea of how big it is.

  16. Thanks ALL for your sweet remarks!!! ; ) Here are some answers and responses to questions: >this is raw edge applique with a machine blanket stitch >the background is a sort of pale lime green fabric by Mark Lipinski >the largest circles are a tad bigger than a quarter >the "finger fabric" surrounding the central heart was a linen blouse from the Gap that has been donated to this cause...?! >and, no, I don't usually follow a pattern exactly, it is more of a jumping off point for me >I LOVE to add little bits that make the piece mine - like the little hearts and love messages here and there...it makes you have to LOOK - perhaps TwIcE?! ; )
