Roseville Squirrel Panel

I finally finished my left panel (more or less).  There are a couple of pieces that I'm not thrilled with, but I'm not going to change them, at least not now--I'm hoping they'll either grow on me or I'll forget them.

I'm also working on one of the center blocks, too, so I could have something smaller to tote around, but it's still in process.  (Hopefully it'll be finished quicker than my panel was!)

  1. What a cheery and exciting panel, Donna! The yellow flower in the upper left "feels" like sunshine and casts a lovely glow over all the rest. I don't see anything I would change. The big panels take such a long time, don't they? But seeing yours finished makes me so eager to tackle the next one. It's so much fun choosing fabrics for the birds, isn't it? They are a standout here!

  2. Wow...SO pretty! I can't imagine what could possibly be the pieces you're not thrilled with? You have a beautiful balance of color and light, medium, and dark. Your stitches are lovely too. Well done! :)

  3. Beautiful, what is really fun it is to look at a close-up of the block and to see some of the beautiful fabrics that you chose.

  4. I LOVE your entire squirrel panel, Donna. : ) Honest! Your use of darks make the aquas and blues POP. The reds and hot pinks sing. The purple values are quite pleasing. And the shocks of oranges and yellows ROCK! Your fussy cuts add interest and the WHOLE panel just SINGS. What's NOT to LOVE here?!?!?!

  9. Thanks everyone! I guess I was feeling that somehow it was just too busy and I'm not sure how to fix it. I've decided to see how it looks with a few more blocks--maybe I am just a busy fabric picker...
