This blog is dedicated to applique. Glorious applique!!! The focus here will be hand applique, but there is room for machine applique too. Kim McLean is the designer whose patterns and quilts we will be working on together. Are you ready?! Let's SEW!!!
Holy cow, Ineke!? Your blocks are looking really SPECTACULAR!!! I absolutely LOVE your color palette and use of fabrics. That fussy cut central flower in your second block is smashing. : ) Which block is next...?!
How absolutely exquiste you color choice and your blocks are. The Kaffe Fassett fabrics are so striking as Kim has used them in her quilts, I'm so impressed that you were able to see beyond the fassett fabrics and choose a stunning selection of fabrics for your blocks.
Hi Ineke, well done! I just love your blues, it reminds me of the china crockeries. I also love the polka dots on the birds. And you're very fast!!! Which block next? Cheers, Kim McLean
I did not like this quilt when I first saw it and was holding out for stars and sprigs, but this color selection is beyond beautiful. I really love this and actually now like the pattern.
I will admitt that when i saw your block i didn't like it very much and thought it looked a little washed out ......... but now i can eat my words it is absolutely beautiful its so gorgeous.
