This blog is dedicated to applique. Glorious applique!!! The focus here will be hand applique, but there is room for machine applique too. Kim McLean is the designer whose patterns and quilts we will be working on together. Are you ready?! Let's SEW!!!
This is looking lovely. It sits so well with the background. I'm quite happy with my dark fabrics but like to look and admire what other people do with brights.
Cathy, looks amazing the 2nd block. I like the background with the colours on it! Its working out really well. Love the centre, is that an Amy Butler? What block are you doing next? I'm on another computer, my other one has used up all the gigabyte allowance for the month and couldn't look into blogs or anything else on the internet. This computer is also slow, but at least I get to see what everyone is doing with their applique! Cheers, Kim McL
Thank you Kim, I'm glad you could find another computer!! The centre fabric is from an oldie...Anna Maria Horners Garden Party range, it is called Guest of Honour. I think it lives up to its name! Cathy
Another wow block Cathy! The center fabric looks fabulous. Using the brights isn't for everyone but I love them and they're lots of fun.

ReplyDeleteGreat block. That background is a wonderful compliment to the applique.
ReplyDeleteFun block and an ideal center! You're making such great progress--I'm feeling left behind!
ReplyDeleteLooking wonderful! I like your stem fabric too. That's my stumbling point with starting the project. I can't decide which to use.
ReplyDeleteI really like the black stems.. I think having that back in the blocks will be very interesting and ... well.. COOL!
ReplyDeleteI really do like your background, lovely block
