You do lovely work. I need to look closer at the pattern, I didn't know there were stars on any of the blocks, I can't get past the "attention getting" lollipops.
ReplyDeleteLollypops was my first Kim McLean pattern which I completed this summer (except for quilting). It is a wonderful, fun, easy quilt!! judith
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work, Judith. Your fabric choices and handwork is exquisite!
ReplyDeleteHi Judith,
ReplyDeleteLove your blocks!! You do have a sizeable stash, lucky girl! I have to tell you though, the quilt you see on the pattern pack is made by Sue Belzacki during a class with me. Sue has kindly gave permission for us to use her quilt on the pattern packs. My quilt was quite washed out and didn't have enough contrast for the photograph. This was my first quilt after moving away from reproduction quilt and at that stage I had a very limited amount of stash!
Fun isn't it, using these brights, I smile when I walk into my sewing room and see all the fabrics in the basket.
Do you think you can take a photo of the Lollypop and post it so we can all see it? Cheers, Kim McL
Flower Pots was definitely a FUN quilt to stitch up!!! I just loved the whimsical wonky shapes. Yours is positively beautiful, Judith. : )
ReplyDeleteGorgeous blocks. I sneaked over to your blog to see our lollipop trees, it's fantastic. I hope mine turns out as good.
ReplyDeleteKim, I did not realize that the quilt on the pattern pack was not yours or I'd have given credit to Sue. I just love the way she put those fabrics together. I will soon post my lollypops when I get a full picture. My friend and I loved the colors and fabric so much that we tried to make it 'just like the pattern' and had a great time with 'the hunt' to find them. Thanks for all the kind comments. This blog is so inspiring!

Beautiful! Freezer paper? I'd love to learn to applique like this.
ReplyDeleteP.S.. do you have a tutorial of how you do needle turn with freezer paper on the right side?
