Oooh...don't get me started!

Words not needed. Fixed, now & moving on, I think I might be done with block one by the end of the week...depending on all those little circles, of course.

  1. I'm sure that (and worse) has happened to us all! At least it didn't involve scissors in any way. Looking forward to seeing the other side.

  3. So nice to see that I am not the only one to do this trick. My other mantra; If it feels as though you are cutting through more than one fabric, YOU ARE.

  4. Oh Kathy, I did the same thing yesterday. Just shook my head in disgust as I muttered "and how long have you been quilting Gay"?

  5. Have been silently following along - such a wonderful blog! And I can't tell you how many times my needle has misbehaved in the same manner...comforting to know other needles do the same!
Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend.

  6. I'm just glad I caught it before I got very far.

When I was a little girl, I was sitting at my old Norweigian grandmother's feet, cutting out some paper dolls, and right through the skirt of the dress that she had made me.Nice big V-shaped hole. Grandma patched that up very nicely.

  7. Easy to do though isn't it? I have a friend who was doing some stitching on a train once, when she went to get off at her station she realised her stitchery was well and truly stitched to her lovely floaty skirt she was wearing that day...ooops!

  8. At least it was only a few stitches. It's worse when you sew the skin of your finger with a stitch.

  9. Ha..I've done that, too. Violin calluses make that easy to do. No pain, just looks impressive!

  10. Oh my! Not only does that happen to me too...it happened this week! I guess we'll just have to think of them as practice stitches, pull them out, and redo? OR..we could say it's a sign of genius? ;)
