First-time blogger here!

Hi All!

I'm so excited to get started on this project. I have chosen Kim's Hearts & Flowers quilt. I've gotten as far as choosing fabrics (Kaffe, of course!) Pat Sloan and Lina are my friends. Pat, of course, has made it impossible for me to put this off any longer! We talked about doing the Lolly quilt about a year ago....decided we were too busy. Then I found the Hearts and Flowers one....it looked easier for a starter. Pat decided to announce to the quilting world that she and I were doing this quilt together!!! So what did that mean? It meant GET BUSY....then she had to go and start tracing and cutting!!!! At least I have a glimmer of hope that I can catch up to her.....No one can catch up to Lina! Her work is beautiful and she will have two quilts done before I can even make my first block! Anyway, I love Kim's work, I love Kaffe's fabrics and I am totally enjoying this site. Thank you for letting me be a part of it.

Til next time! Monica
